In which there was a meltdown, many visitors, a new splash, and a gibbering bank account.

Yesterday I had an emotional meltdown. And as such you lovely lot were done out of a blog.

So here I am.

Now when did I last blog?

Ahh it would appear it was last Tuesday.

And it would appear that absolutely nothing newsworthy happened on Wednesday. Until I remember that we had a visit from Henry and Lauren.  It was rather excellent to see them again. Henry believed that the only way to remedy the outdoor loo was to, and I quote, "to Bath bomb it"

Henry: You need to bath bomb it!
Me: Bath bombs don't explode! They Fizz!
Henry: But its an accurate description of what you need to do to it!

I would much prefer to just knock it through and make my kitchen bigger but sadly tis not a house that I, A)Own. or B) Have the money to remodel.

Despite this I really like my house, even if damp gets into the TV cable because lets face it Lancaster is the only place in the world where that happens on a regular basis and your next door neighbour knows instantly what's wrong.

Then Came Thursday, Thursday meant Preston.

The day my bank balanced crawled under the desk and gibbered. It had good reason.

We start with this photo.
I finally got my mucky mitts on this gorgeous Baby.

Along with a lovely starry top.

However, It did not stop there.
We went to H&M

Where due to some miracle I restrained my self. However I want that hat. And the Jumper I tried, and the dress.
They shall be acquired. They have to be. Especially the hat and jumper. Though really I need Jeans more. The real damage was done in as ever in Primarni.

Though I never thought it was possible to spend £27 in Primarni, but I did. xD

I bought the usual basics to replace the ones I'd worn into the ground. And a pair of joggers because, well I intend at some point to go running and, well, they're rather comfy. In fact I seem to spending and awfully large amount of time in them.

However all is not lost. I just have to pay myself each week for three weeks.

All in all however I had a fantastic day with Amy, Emma and eventually Rachy who turned up at lunch.

Friday saw us visit our good friend Anthony and make a new friend in his house mate Dan. It also meant we got to eat Anthony's home cooking. There are not enough glowing adjectives to describe that boys cooking.

The current message on our fridge sums it up

Alyson wrote it.

"Omnomnom"

We nommed heartily, and enjoyed good company and eventually rolled home gone midnight.

Saturday was another good day. Passed once again in the fine company of Amy, Rachy and Emma

We had a lovely time on a very sunny day. Pinics in October are fun. mainly because, no wasps!
:D

Sunday was church and seeing Hannah, albeit very briefly but even so it made me happy.
Monday.
Monday involved getting up early. Monday involved getting on a bus. Monday involved going to campus. Twice. In the morning packed my Eastpak bag for the first time *makes pleased and smug faces* and followed my housemates to uni to register for second year (hence why tomorrow my bank account will stop gibbering and relax.) Sort out my seminars. Wrangle Wednesdays and Thursday entirely free for the whole of 1st term (dances jig) before going home to vaccuum and dust because we had a house guest that night. But first I had a date. A very important date. One I have been talking about since last term. It involved meeting Emma. It involved dragging my butt to the X1 stop for a second time, and Finally trying out the new pool.

Which is deceptive. Its almost as wide as it is long and that will at some point lead to a statement so physically unsound, (we're talking science here), that Raph's head will hit the table in despair for a second time.

I still think its like swimming up hill :P

But!
All jokes on my bonkers world view aside, The pool itself is lovely light airy and well it has a shallow end a deep end and the middle bit. Even if it was a little chilly. I guess it is a sports pool not the local municipal.
The bonkers bit is the changing rooms.
I may have already, had rant about the uni's gender neutral policies previously on here. I cant be bothered checking.
But Gender neutral changing rooms??
Ok so there are cubicles but its still just a tad unnerving having to walk past the boys bit to get to the girls bit. Jus' saying. I don't need wolf whistling and you don't need to show off.
Are we all on the same page. Excellent.

Tuesday. That was yesterday. Okay so this says this was posted on Thursday. Its a long blog! I started it on Wednesday and I haven't been to bed yet. So far as I'm concerned its not Thursday till I have been to bed and slept. Or the sun has risen.

Anyway yesterday I got serious about playing my guitar, taught Amy four basic chords (talk about the partially sighted leading the blind), and had too many Hannah's round for tea.  So this meant we had a lovely catch up with Hannah D, and met lovely Fresher Hannah F. Best of all? Hannah F. is a French and German DELC Fresher. MUHAHAHAHA! Oh she doesn't have a clue. Well, she has more of a clue now. Should probably warn her to start reading now, she might be ready by Christmas.
Anyway we had a dead girly evening. Nails & nail art, seems I haven't lost the knack :D and we had a chick flick on. Two of the gathered company were being rather cynical and sarcastic the whole way through.  Three were thoroughly enjoying it. if you can guess which side I was on and which side I'd normally be on then congratulations I already know precisely who you are xD.
:P
Today consisted of me reading the infernal Cat and Mouse for German cover to cover in 3 to 4 hours introducing myself to the neighbours and getting the tele fixed for my efforts. Today I learnt that Alyson talks in her sleep, Gunther Grass is as boring as expected and that (only in Lancaster) TV aerials can get Damp.

Honestly!

Tomorrow is Freshers Part 1, Round 2. Alyson's joining knit soc.

I'll be honest I'm mainly going for the free stuff, which is why I'm totally aiming to be the first one into Freshers Fair part 2 the 2nd year running. or maybe I'll be nice and let the actual freshers in first. Either way Dominoes better be dishing out the Pizza again.
Right,

That's covered what uni students do at uni when there's no actual work to be done.

And now?

Its quite clearly bed time.

Na night!
